In conjunction with our international partners, GISCO offers advanced services in:

1. ROTATING EQUIPMENT MONITORING

Vibration as the main field of GISCO activities, has traditionally been associated with trouble in machines-wear, malfunction, noise, and structural damage. In more recent years, however, vibration has been used to save industry millions of dollars in machine downtime. Evaluation changes in levels of machine vibration has become an important part of most maintenance programs. Similar evaluations are used to solve design problems as well as to establish the cause of chronic malfunctions and failures. The technique of condition monitoring of machinery, using vibration measurement and analysis, provides vital information on the condition of plant machinery that are used, through a predictive maintenance program, to enhance the understanding of the condition of company assets, and further to plan maintenance actions to improve both the availability and reliability of machines.

i.CONDITION MONITORING

Our certified engineers and technicians actively support our customers’ maintenance teams by providing accurate condition assessment of plant equipment and meaningful, valuable solutions.

Our Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) teams handle every aspect of the implementation of CBM Programs, including:

  • Baseline Monitoring
  • Scheduling, Control and Planning
  • History record trending
  • Data analysis (Technical and management)
  • Weekly and monthly report generation
  • Overall CBM system planning

ii. ROTORDYNAMICS ALIGNMENT BALANCING

GISCO provides rotordynamic analysis to study machinery dynamic characteristics and remedy chronic machinery problems. Our teams are experienced in troubleshooting and in conducting engineering studies to remedy vibration problems, typically assisting in the alleviation of:

  • Resonance problems
  • Sensitivity to unbalance
  • Stability problems

GISCO offers balancing of machines, using the single-shot method to balance repeat machines, with the capability of balancing both rigid and flexible rotorsBalancing without trial weights may also be achieved using calibrated rotor models.

Alignment is conducted using the latest precision laser alignment methods for machinery including:

  • Couplings
  • Cardin shafts
  • Bores
  • Rolls & pulleys

iii. PLANT SERVICES AND SITE INSTALLATION

GISCO provides comprehensive plant services to the industrial sector.

  • Troubleshooting machinery problems
  • Performance optimization of existing plant
  • Machinery and structural testing, including acceptance testing of new machines
  • Advising on maintenance management, including policies, systems, organization and technologies
  • Executing detailed engineering studies, from verifying new designs to modifying existing plant

Using teams of highly skilled technicians, supported by qualified, experienced site engineers, GISCO provides a comprehensive site installation service specializing in the installation and commissioning of permanent vibration measurement and condition monitoring systems for the oil, gas, petrochemical, power generation and process industries.

 (2) FUNCTIONAL SAFETY & RISK SAFETY MANAGEMENT

GISCO can assist you in identifying your hazards, understanding your risks and contribute to improving our clients’ safety performance. GISCO believes in a tailor-made and individual approach for each client. Together with our clients we find the most optimal process to identify your needs and the best way to improve your company’s safety performance. Clients in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas production, and power generation industries make their plants safer and more productive by utilizing our core skills performance improvements, functional safety engineering, risk analysis, providing compliance with relevant regulations and standards and benchmarking against industry best practices.

GISCO also provides assistance on the SIS both to the existing and new facilities. We assist our clients in the design, verification and mechanical Integrity (MI) programs. Our services also include risk-based Safety Integrity Level (SIL) target assignment, development of Safety Requirement Specification (SRS), verification of SIL assignments utilizing quantitative techniques, developing test regimes and continuous improvement assessment and auditing programs.
